Terms of Use
These terms of use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the SnoozeDB platform, available at www.snoozedb.com. By creating an account, you accept these Terms without reservation.
1. Definitions
- "Platform": the website and all services offered by SnoozeDB.
- "User": any natural or legal person who has created an account on the Platform.
- "Service": the automation tool that schedules the stop and start of AWS RDS database instances.
2. Purpose of the Service
SnoozeDB allows Users to connect their AWS accounts via a dedicated IAM role to automatically schedule the stop and start of their RDS instances according to rules configured by the User.
SnoozeDB only accesses metadata and management commands for selected instances (Start/Stop). SnoozeDB has no technical access to data stored inside the User's databases (Data Plane) and will never host such data.
SnoozeDB acts solely as an automation tool and is not responsible for the User's AWS infrastructure.
3. Registration and Account
- Registration is open to anyone with a valid email address.
- The User agrees to provide accurate information and to keep their credentials confidential.
- Each account is personal. The User is responsible for all activity carried out from their account.
4. Pricing and Payment
Current pricing is available on the Pricing page. SnoozeDB reserves the right to change its prices at any time, with 30 days' notice for existing subscriptions.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. SnoozeDB does not store your payment details.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly.
- Trial period: paid plans include a 14-day free trial. A valid payment method is required upon sign-up. If the User does not cancel before the end of the trial, the subscription is automatically charged at the current rate.
- Cancellation during trial: the User may cancel free of charge and without commitment at any time during the 14-day trial via their subscription management portal. No amount will be charged.
- Any period started is due. No prorated refund will be made if the subscription is cancelled mid-billing period.
- In the event of non-payment, access to the Service may be suspended after a reminder.
5. Right of Withdrawal
As the Service is intended exclusively for professionals in the course of their business, the User expressly waives their right of withdrawal in accordance with Article L221-3 of the French Consumer Code.
6. User Responsibilities
The User is solely responsible:
- For configuring their stop and start rules.
- For the correct configuration of the AWS IAM role and associated permissions.
- For managing their backups and the high availability of their databases.
- For compliance with AWS terms of use.
7. Limitation of Liability
SnoozeDB undertakes to provide the Service diligently. However:
- SnoozeDB does not guarantee uninterrupted operation of the Service and shall not be liable for interruptions due to AWS, scheduled maintenance or force majeure.
- SnoozeDB shall not be liable for any loss of business, data or revenue resulting from the use or inability to use the Service.
- SnoozeDB's total liability is limited to the amount paid by the User in the past 12 months.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, interfaces and source code of the Platform are the exclusive property of SnoozeDB. Any unauthorised reproduction, distribution or use is prohibited.
9. Termination
- The User may close their account at any time from their account settings.
- SnoozeDB reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account in the event of a breach of these Terms, without notice.
- Upon termination, the User's data is deleted within 30 days, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Support
Support is provided by email at [email protected], Monday to Friday. The team aims to respond within 24 business hours. This timeframe is indicative and does not constitute a contractual service level agreement (SLA).
11. Commercial Reference
Unless the User objects in writing, the User authorises SnoozeDB to use their name and logo as a commercial reference on the website and SnoozeDB communication materials.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the courts of Toulon shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
13. Changes to the Terms
SnoozeDB reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be informed of any material change by email or notification on the Platform. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
